This piece was inspired by the popular YouTube channel called Lofi Girl, which features an ongoing live video with music playing in the background as a girl studies. Instead of writing in a notebook, my character is seen drawing on a similar setup that I had.

It was, at this point in my high school journey, that I realized that going under lockdown had really jarred my academic abilities. Now, being in school full-time, I noticed that everyone was still adjusting to a âregular scheduleâ. I drew this to represent me snapping back into reality and the actually experience the true high school experience.

When I started high school, I realized that girls my age used Instagram a lot, so I made one. Originally, my Instagram consisted of pictures of my dog, Milo. I decided to make a little introduction to the Instagram page by using a digital doodle I did of my dog.

The one video game franchise I played as a kid was Pokemon. My first_slide game was Pokemon Heartgold, which I still come back to play every once in a while, just to relive the nostalgia and joy I got while playing it. As I made friends in highschool, I realized that I found some friends that enjoy Pokemon as well, leading me to create Instagram posts of the drawings I created of what I would think my friends' favourite Pokemon of each type would be.
